Vivo HealthStaff is recruiting for a Data Scientist with TS/SCI Clearance in the Washington, DC/Northern Virginia area. This is a full-time position supporting a federal government-focused technology company. Regular travel to client sites and secure facilities is expected.
About the Role:
Our client is an advanced analytics company supporting both government and commercial sectors. Their AI platform enables users to transform complex data into powerful visualizations and predictive models using no-code tools. The platform is currently deployed across federal agencies and major enterprise organizations.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Scientist to support mission-critical analytics and AI/ML deployments.
Responsibilities:
  • Utilize the company's AI platform to develop and deploy production-ready solutions.
  • Own the full lifecycle of AI solution development from ideation to implementation.
  • Work with customer data and big data frameworks (e.g., Databricks) to design effective workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful, explainable AI models.

Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
  • Must be based in or near Washington, DC/Northern Virginia with access to SCIFs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience with Python and Python data stack (pandas, numpy, sklearn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
  • 1+ year of experience deploying machine learning models in production environments.
  • 1-2 years of experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., Elasticsearch, graph databases).
  • Experience with Git, Docker, and/or Kubernetes.
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience leading projects from within a SCIF environment.
  • Background in cyber analytics, PCAP/network monitoring, or vulnerability analysis.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems such as Spark, Dask, Snowpark, or Kafka.
  • Experience with workflow/task orchestration tools (e.g., Celery, Airflow, Prefect) and web frameworks (e.g., Flask, Django).
