Job description

PAUSE STUDIO - General Manager Full-Time | Park Cities, TX

Pause Studio is hiring a General Manager for their Park Cities location. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of operations, team development, sales, and client experience. This is not a passive role. The right person will own the studio floor, lead the team, drive revenue, and build the community presence that keeps clients coming back.

YOU WILL THRIVE AT PAUSE.

Pause is a modern recovery brand offering science-backed wellness services including flotation therapy, infrared sauna, cold plunge, cryotherapy, IV therapy, and more. The GM role is central to making that experience feel effortless for every client who walks through the door. If you have a strong operational instinct, a passion for wellness, and the ability to lead a team with both accountability and warmth, this role was built for you. The studio has recently passed its one-year mark and is ready for a leader who can help accelerate growth, strengthen culture, and take ownership of the business day-to-day.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own studio operations from top to bottom, including cleanliness, safety standards, equipment maintenance, and supply management
  • Build, hire, train, motivate, and retain a high-performing team
  • Drive revenue growth through strong sales execution, service culture, client retention, and lead conversion
  • Develop and execute local marketing initiatives, grassroots outreach, and community partnerships
  • Build corporate wellness relationships with businesses in and around the Southlake market
  • Review weekly performance dashboards and adjust strategy to meet financial targets
  • Manage scheduling, payroll, and timekeeping for all team members
  • Oversee retail and supply inventory
  • Maintain communication with ownership and HQ on HR, marketing, and operational needs
  • Lead with initiative, solve problems independently, and escalate only when necessary
  • Additional duties as assigned

CORE REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of management experience, preferably in health, wellness, fitness, or hospitality
  • Proven ability to drive sales and revenue, not just maintain operations
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to mentor, motivate, and develop a team
  • Highly organized with strong communication skills
  • Comfortable building community relationships and representing the brand externally
  • Prior General Manager experience strongly preferred
  • Local ties to the community or a short commute are strongly preferred

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
  • Base salary: $70,000 to $80,000, depending on experience
  • Bonus: Performance-based incentive structure tied to profitability and studio growth

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
In the first 90 days, you have a handle on operations, the team feels supported, and the client experience is consistent. Within 6 months, revenue trends are improving, community partnerships are growing, and the studio is operating with stronger energy, accountability, and leadership. Over time, success means becoming the kind of GM who can take true ownership of the business, drive results, and allow ownership to step back from filling day-to-day gaps.
