Description

The Campus Student Pastor is responsible for casting vision, setting culture, providing pastoral care and coaching, and equipping adult leaders at their local campus to lead students to Know God, Find Freedom, Discover Purpose and Make a Difference

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

Vision and Culture

• Create culture that is committed to the centrality of Jesus

• Embrace and implement principles and practices of 12Stone Student Ministry

• Maintain and communicate alignment with the Mission and Vision of 12Stone Church and 12Stone Student Ministry

• Serve 12Stone Student Ministry by contributing in event ideation, sermon series planning, and providing ongoing feedback to the Campus Services Team

Pastoral Care and Local Ministry Oversight

• Provide leadership to all student ministry volunteer roles and environments

• Provide leadership and act as the primary communicator for Student Ministry environments

• Provide ongoing management and care of Small Groups (healthy group sizes, correct leaders, casting groups focused vision)

• Provide pastoral counsel and care for students and families

• Seek opportunities to serve in the community and especially area schools

• Manage student ministry budget

• Provide Campus Leadership of Student Ministry Retreats and CAMP

• Be a consistent pastoral presence for the campus on Sundays and for Campus Events

Leadership Development

• Recruit and equip adult leaders to lead, serve, and help students discover and take the next spiritual step

• Empower leaders to have excellent and consistent communication with parents

• Shepherd adult leaders to help them grow spiritually and model pastoral care

• Empower small group leaders to be the "student pastors" of their groups

• Recruit, Equip, and Empower Student Leaders

Spiritual Criteria:

• Professes Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior

• Commitment to personal spiritual growth

• Models standards and expectations of leaders within 12Stone Church

• Must attend 12Stone Church

Experience:

• College Degree preferred

• Experience in a volunteer development culture

• Minimum of three years' experience in ministry or church vocational work is preferred

• Ability to maintain confidentiality

• Experience in organizing multiple projects and events

• Organized; flexible; able to Multitask

• Exemplary oral & written skills
