Job description

OverviewUnder supervision, performs work removing bio-hazard waste, operating the Auto-clave, floor scrubbing, removing confidential containers and paper shredding. Other tasks include moving furniture, equipment, and supplies as necessary when relocating a customer.ResponsibilitiesPRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(*Essential Functions)
  • As schedule allows, cleans the rooms/areas in which patient equipment is stored, i.e., IV Poles, Blood Pressure Pumps and Temperature Pumps.
  • Collects and removes confidential paper containers and operates paper shredding equipment in accordance with operating instructions and safety requirements.
  • Exhibits ability to use all of housekeeping equipment, supplies, and chemicals, including the use of proper dilution rates 100% of the time.
  • Operates auto floor scrubbing machine.
  • Operates the Auto-clave equipment to burn and destroy appropriate bio-hazardous wastes, follows operating instructions and safety requirements.
  • Performs clean up spills wherever assigned and/or observed.
  • Removes bio-hazard wastes from proper containers and storage rooms, handling substances in accordance with safety requirements and dons appropriate protective clothing and equipment as needed.
  • Qualifications
