SUMMARY
Brooklyn Basketball brings the Brooklyn Nets and New York Liberty together to establish a community-first basketball experience. Our goal is to grow the game for participants of all ages through professionally-led clinics and camps, community-focused events, instructional videos, unique basketball content and much more.
The Coordinator, Operations for the Brooklyn Basketball Training Center provides supplemental help based on the facility's hours of operation. This role supports venue management, building maintenance, scheduling, staffing, collaborative environment with internal stake holders, and vendor coordination.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the Brooklyn Basketball Training Center, ensuring the facility is maintained to high standards.
  • Support the maintenance and repair of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural components, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Help develop and manage the scheduling of the facility to accommodate various events, practices, and activities.
  • Assist with staffing schedules for the facility, ensuring adequate coverage for all events and activities.
  • Coordinate with vendors providing services such as cleaning, security, and audio-visual support, and oversee the quality of services provided.
  • Assist in managing the budget for facility operations, including maintenance, repairs, and vendor services, and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
  • Support the development and implementation of emergency response plans for building-related incidents, ensuring staff are trained and prepared to handle emergencies effectively.
  • Assist in developing, adjusting, and improving standard operating procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure the facility complies with relevant regulations and standards, including safety and accessibility requirements.
  • Maintain operational readiness by responding to changing priorities, supporting event activities, and ensuring the facility is prepared for daily operations and special events
  • Provide hands-on event support from planning through execution, proactively troubleshooting operational and technology issues to ensure a flawless experience

WHAT YOU WILL BRING
  • 1-3 years in facility or event management.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Facility Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certificate of Fitness supervision of Fire control panel
  • Knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic project management skills.
  • Good customer service skills and sound judgment.
  • Proficiency in facility management software and tools.

WHO YOU ARE
  • Certification in Facility Management (CFM) or similar credential preferred.
  • Experience in event management and logistics.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy management.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

COMPENSATION
$66,500 - $68,500

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The incumbent will be primarily based out of the Brooklyn Basketball Training Center and an office environment.
Travel Requirements: 25% travel required, primarily within Brooklyn and the New York City area.
