Job Description

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Owner's Representative, you will provide on-site technical leadership for large-scale data center projects in Lincoln, Nebraska. Serving as the owner's engineering representative, you will work closely with design consultants, contractors, commissioning teams, and project stakeholders to ensure mechanical systems are designed, installed, tested, and turned over in accordance with project requirements. 

Responsibilities include reviewing mechanical designs and submittals, conducting field inspections, supporting constructability reviews, resolving technical issues, evaluating RFIs and change orders. This role requires a strong field presence and the ability to ensure quality, reliability, and operational readiness throughout the project lifecycle.

You bring to the team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • 10+ years of experience supporting large commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center projects
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, cooling systems, piping, and related mechanical infrastructure
  • Experience reviewing designs, submittals, RFIs, and change orders
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills
  • Data center or mission-critical facility experience preferred 

Location Requirement 

  • Full-time, on-site in Lincoln, Nebraska.
