Job description

J. Polep Distribution Services is looking for a CDL-A driver interested in working as a Yard Jockey in our Chicopee,MA facility.


The focus of this position is to position vehicles safely and efficiently between various dock and yard locations.

This is a 3rd Shift full-time position, Sun- Thurs 7pm to finish, reporting to the warehouse manager but working closely with loading dock, transportation and security personnel.

Responsibilities include:

·         Move tractors, trailers and straight trucks between yard and loading docks

·         Prepare trucks for delivery

·         Coordinate with dock personnel to ensure correct movements

·         Assist Security with yard and equipment safety


LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS:

·          Class A Driver’s License

·          Clean driving record

·          High School Diploma or GED

·          Medical DOT Card
