Description
The University of Maryland School of Dentistry is conducting a search for a full-time non-tenure clinical faculty member in the Division of Oral Radiology within the Department of Oncology & Diagnostic Sciences. The department has a strong pre-doctoral radiology curriculum, a commitment to continuing dental education, an active faculty practice and collaboration with the School of Dentistry clinics and departments. Major responsibilities will include oversight of pre-doctoral didactic and clinical teaching, participation in the post-graduate academic activities, scholarly activity, and service. In addition, radiographic interpretation and consulting in the UMSOD Faculty Dental Practice is expected.
Qualifications
Qualification
Candidates must possess a DDS/DMD degree from an accredited U.S. or Canadian dental school or equivalent degree and eligibility for a Dental License in Maryland. Completion of a CODA accredited residency training program in oral and maxillofacial radiology with American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology certification or eligibility is required. A record of scholarly achievement and 3-5 years' experience teaching and mentoring in a dental school setting is preferred. Master's degree is preferred.
