These roles typically require painters to prepare surfaces, mix and apply paints or coatings, and adhere to strict safety and quality standards. Offshore painters often work long shifts and spend extended periods away from home, making physical fitness and adaptability important. Specialized training and certifications, such as those for working at heights or with hazardous materials, are commonly required.
