What is a full time offshore helicopter pilot?

Full-time offshore helicopter pilots are professional aviators who operate helicopters to transport personnel, equipment, and supplies to and from offshore platforms, such as oil rigs, wind farms, and ships. They are responsible for ensuring safe flight operations in challenging environments, often over open water and in varying weather conditions. These pilots typically work for helicopter service companies or directly for energy sector employers, adhering to strict safety regulations and undergoing regular training and certification. The role requires advanced piloting skills, the ability to respond to emergencies, and a strong focus on safety and teamwork.
