Medical Biller – Full-Time | On-Site

Raincross Medical Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our Billing Department. We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, and confident working claims from initial submission through final resolution.

What You'll Do
  • Prepare, review, and submit clean and accurate medical claims to commercial insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid/Medi-Cal, and other payers.
  • Verify patient demographics, insurance eligibility, coverage, and billing information.
  • Review ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for accuracy and consistency with provider documentation.
  • Work claim rejections, denials, and unpaid claims through resolution.
  • Perform timely insurance follow-up and communicate directly with payers when necessary.
  • Review and actively work Accounts Receivable (A/R) aging to improve collections and reduce outstanding balances.
  • Identify billing trends, recurring denials, and reimbursement issues and communicate findings to the Billing Manager.
  • Post and review payments, adjustments, and claim activity accurately.
  • Assist with patient balances, billing questions, statements, and insurance-related inquiries.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all billing and collection activity.
  • Collaborate with providers, front-office staff, billing team members, and insurance representatives to resolve billing issues.
  • Help support an efficient revenue cycle and timely reimbursement for the practice.
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous medical billing experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of insurance claims, denials, A/R follow-up, and reimbursement processes.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
  • Experience with EHR and practice-management/billing systems.
  • Medicare and Medi-Cal billing knowledge is a plus.
  • Certified Professional Biller (CPB), CPC, or similar certification is a plus, but not required.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to stay organized while managing multiple accounts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
  • Dependable, professional, and able to work effectively as part of an on-site team.
