Transport Engineer
Location: West Nyack, NY
2 Year Contract
To start 2 days a week onsite - after a while can move to 1 day or even remote.
Job Description:
- Mainly focus on the project management/coordination of SNAP(Samsung), LS6, 5G, CRAN, VRAN, MEC for New York Metro
- Be engaged in the planning, design and execution of all SNAP(Samsung), LS6, 5G, CRAN, VRAN, MEC projects as well as upcoming emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to help optimize the designs of these technologies and reduce re-work.
- Works with a group of engineers who regularly evaluate the optimization of the transport network, including fronthaul, backhaul and microwave networks.
- The transport team is responsible for creating, designing and issuing CIQs(IP/Ports assignments) and engineering new cells, trunks, cell and switch growth, circuit ordering and voice & EVDO carrier additions.
- Supports initiatives to reduce the cost associated with Direct Telecom expenses and optimize call routing within the region.
- Other key responsibilities include project coordination, traffic engineering, and resource management.
Education:
- Bachelors degree or four or more years of work experience.
Logistics:
- 8 - 5 PM shift Monday thru Friday
- No weekends.
- Hybrid (WFH and Office)
- Subject to some overtime.
