Job Description

Who are you?

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our growing Data Centres team, supporting the delivery of complex mission-critical construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience leading large-scale construction projects within fast-paced delivery environments.

While this position is posted in Toronto, we welcome applications from candidates across Canada. This role supports projects in Western Canada, including Edmonton, Regina, and Winnipeg. Candidates must be open to travel, rotational schedules, or temporary relocation based on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of complex data centre and mission-critical projects from initiation through to commissioning and closeout.
  • Manage project stakeholders including clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and supply partners to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Oversee project governance, reporting, risk management, scheduling, budgeting, and change management processes.
  • Monitor and manage critical project milestones, dependencies, and key delivery activities to mitigate schedule and commercial risks.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams including and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and other key project stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
  • Manage the delivery of multiple concurrent construction projects within fast-paced project environments.
  • Support commissioning, operational readiness, and turnover activities in alignment with project and client requirements.
  • Provide leadership and technical guidance related to constructability, project execution strategies, and delivery best practices.
  • Review and manage key project documentation including reports, drawings, schedules, submittals, RFIs, and commercial information.
  • SOX control responsibilities may form part of this role and are to be adhered to where applicable.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, project management, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of relevant project management experience within construction, mission-critical, or data centre, or large-scale infrastructure project environments.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering complex data centre or other large-scale mission-critical construction projects preferred.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery, construction management, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder coordination across complex projects.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, vendors, and client stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and client relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, project management platforms, scheduling tools, and construction management systems such as Procore or similar platforms.

The base salary range for this full-time role is $110,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
