Classification Title:
Interior Designer II
Classification Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in interior design or other appropriate area and three years of relevant experience.
Job Description:
Working with Colleges, Design Teams and Furniture/Product representatives on finishes, furniture layouts, furniture selection and fabric selections.
Working with UF Procurement, Design Teams and Furniture representatives on furniture quotes and overseeing furniture installation.
Working with the PDC Office of the University Architect and Project Managers on design reviews, including floor plans and finishes.
Support Project Managers in the development of project programs, including estimating furniture costs and collaborating on space needs.
Valid class E driver's license is required.
Position needs to be able to go onto jobsites; measure spaces and cabinetry; and lift materials. Some travel may be required.
Position needs to know Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft programs, Photoshop and be able to put together presentations with graphics.
Background Check Required.
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE:
8am - 5pm Monday through Friday.
Work hours and days may vary with assignments and workload.
May be on call during adverse weather conditions and available for evening and weekend meetings and events.
Expected Salary:
Commensurate with education and experience
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in interior design or other appropriate area and three years of relevant experience.
Preferred:
NCIDQ certification or in progress; LEED; WELL certifications
