Job description

Summary: ATS is seeking an NDT Level II RT Tech for Field work and some in-house Vault X-Ray work to support our Englewood, Colorado, ATS Family of Companies office.  This is a steady 40 hour/week permanent position.  Typical hourly pay range starts at $30 Based on experience and certs.  Relo assistance available.  $2,500 Sign-on Bonus after testing completion. Application deadline is September 30th, 2026 or sooner if position is filled.  Experience with Gamma Xray Tube and Film preferred per TC-1A.  NAS-410/FAA and/or CR experience a plus.  NAS-410 qualification contingent on signed logs and documentation.  Additional Bonus may be available with additional certifications.

Responsibilities/Duties: NDT Level II RT Technicians

  • Perform examinations of materials in accordance with procedures, codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which qualified and exercise assigned responsibility for OJT and guidance of trainees
  • Interface with department managers and clients to determine scope of work and work priorities in order to meet customer expectations.   
  • Be able to prepare written instructions and to organize and report the results of examinations.
  • Work independently and support team members Perform other job related tasks as needed and assigned by supervisors.
  • Perform on-site X-Rays at customer locations throughout Colorado and adjoining states.
  • Conduct X-Rays in a vault setting as needed.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Level II RT – Meet the minimum requirements of an NDT Level II RT Technician per SNT-TC-1a and/or NAS-410; provide documentation of education, training, and experience in the applicable NDT method(s); have a working knowledge of industrial environments and general manufacturing processes; ability to effectively communicate with other departments, and customers to report issues and solve problems.
  • Be certifiable to RT NAS-410. Certifiable to TC-1A is acceptable but will lower value.
  • Have 5 years' experience. No less than 3 to be considered.
  • Have a valid, up to date, state card or IRRSP cert.
  • Have experience with the following types of inspections, or a mixture. Pipeline only isn’t what we’re looking for.
    • Aerospace/FAA
    • Sec. VIII, B31.1, B31.3
    • AWS D1.1 / welder quals
    • Castings
    • API 1104
    • Concrete
    • Xray & Gamma
  • Xray Tube experience required along with FAA and/or CR related experience a plus.
  • Additional Level II certs in PT/MT/UTT are a plus. Scope of work is field + lab RT. Experience with X-ray tube is a big value add.
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Ideal candidate will already reside in the Denver Region of Colorado or have a connection to Colorado and the ability to relocate if offered a position.

Work Conditions:

  • Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
  • Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc. 
  • Work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc. 
  • Work in around operating equipment and industrial environments. 
  • Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc.
  • Work shifts up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week and travel for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds.
