Job description

Position Title: Lead Instructor – Vermont EMS Academy (VEMSA)
Status: Full-Time (40 hrs/week)
Pay: $30/hour (negotiable)

About Us
The Vermont EMS Academy (VEMSA), a division of Rescue Inc., provides high-quality EMS education across Vermont. We are seeking a dynamic Lead Instructor to join our team and support the expansion of EMT, Advanced EMT, and Paramedic programs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Licensed Paramedic
  • Vermont Instructor Coordinator certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)
  • ACLS, PALS, and AHA Instructor certifications (or ability to obtain within 4 months of hire)
  • NAEMT Instructor (or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire)
  • Minimum of one year of EMS teaching experience
  • Must meet functional job requirements
Schedule amp; Commitment
  • Full-time, 40 hours/week w/ opportunity for overtime
  • Varying days/times, including evenings and weekends based on class schedules
  • Some off-site travel required
  • Active NREMT paramedic as needed to meet operational demands of the organization
Primary Responsibilities
  • Serve as Lead Instructor for EMT and Advanced EMT courses
  • Support as an adjunct Instructor for Paramedic program sim labs
  • Help deliver ACLS, PALS, NAEMT, and AHA courses as needed
  • Develop, update, and maintain course curriculum in accordance with state and national standards
  • Provide mentorship and evaluation of adjunct instructors
