Job Title: Customer Service Specialist
Employment Status: Full time
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Customer Service Manager
Salary: $18.50/hr
Position Summary:
The Customer Service Specialist serves as the primary frontline link between the museum and its guests and members. He/she will answer questions, troubleshoot issues, and process transactions like ticket sales or memberships; delivering high-quality visitor experiences and collaboration with other departments to resolve complex escalations. Ultimately, this role is essential in fostering a welcoming environment that drives visitor loyalty, strengthens community engagement, and elevates the museum's overall mission.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Answer incoming calls and maintain an elevated level of professionalism with customers
• Respond to e-mails and webchat, ensuring they are answered within specified time frame
• Build sustainable and lasting relationships with MOTB customers
• Proactively seek out new ways to be more efficient and effective
• Support customer acquisition and retention plans
• Support all museum of the Bible departments and their processes
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• High school diploma/GED required
• Customer service experience - call center or in-field high level of business acumen
• Proven record of consultative sales process and flexible in an ever-changing atmosphere.

• Organizational skills/multi-tasking/prioritize/time management
• Clear & concise communicator
• Proficient at microsoft office suite of products
• Excellent interpersonal skills across all levels and diverse groups
• Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
Abilities & Attributes:
• Self-driven, proactive, quick learner & able to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Able to to stoop, stand, climb, and occasionally lift a minimum of 10 lbs. as required
• Adapt and pivot to different duties, work schedules, or events as assigned and in accordance with operational needs
• As required, inclusion in official or incidental photographs and videos for MOTB and/or guests
• Champion the Museum of the Bible's mission to invite all people to engage with the transformative power of the Bible.
