Montefiore Health System consists of eleven hospitals; a primary and specialty care network of more than 180 locations across Westchester County, the lower Hudson Valley and the Bronx; an extended care facility; the Montefiore School of Nursing; and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. The Neurology Department is nationally recognized for quality of patient care and provides clinical, academic, and research leadership in the region. We have well-developed and growing programs in Aging and Dementia, Sleep Disorders, Stroke, Epilepsy, Neuromuscular Medicine, Movement Disorders, Neuroimmunology and Neuro-Oncology. A new Neuroscience Center has been developed in Westchester County/Tarrytown and includes Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry subspecialties.We are hiring a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Neurologist in the Montefiore/Einstein Division of Multiple Sclerosis for its outpatient faculty practice. Candidates must have additional training (fellowship or other) in multiple sclerosis and neuroimmunology. Expertise in Botox for spasticity and lumbar puncture is optional. There are many opportunities for teaching residents and students, research, and multidisciplinary collaborations. Beautiful office space. Collaborative environment. Montefiore/Einstein was the birthplace of the comprehensive care model of MS centers advocated by Sylvia Lawry and the National MS Society. Started in 2019, the Multiple Sclerosis Center has grown to over 700 patients. The Montefiore MS Center at the Montefiore Hutchinson Campus is recognized by the NMSS as a Center for Comprehensive MS Care. It serves a large urban underserved population. It has one full-time physician, one dedicated RN, and additional covering LPNs in the office. 6 weeks per year is spent on the Residents service. The collegial Department of Neurology is looking to grow its MS division with the intent to start a fellowship program in the next few years.In addition to a competitive salary range of $190,000-200,000, we offer the opportunity to supplemental income with productivity incentives.
