Job description

This is a full-time, hybrid career opportunity based out of our Administrative Services Center location in East Petersburg, PA.

Coordinates the review and collection of delinquent residential mortgage loans in various stages of delinquency or default, including pre-foreclosure and post-charge-off phases, and/or mortgages owned by the secondary market. Ensures compliance with the rules and regulations associated with servicing of secondary market loans, to avoid mandatory repurchase for failure to adhere to requirements.


  • Collection calling of all delinquent mortgage customers from five days delinquent to implementation of foreclosure action.
  • Identifying residential mortgage accounts requiring legal notice letters ACT, Fair Foreclosure, ensuring these letters are promptly mailed.
  • Coordinates effort with Foreclosure Administrator to implement foreclosure actions and to comply with the secondary servicing requirements relating to collection and reporting activity on these loans.
  • Develop and formalize workout plans on residential mortgages that are severely delinquent to ensure that plan promptly and properly addresses the workout issues. Assess borrower financial situations and recommend appropriate loss mitigation options (e.g. loan modifications, repayment plans, short sales, deeds-in-lieu), with a focus on maximizing recovery while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies. As needed, negotiate repayment arrangements or settlement agreements to minimize losses and foreclosure actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations (e.g., CFPB, FDCPA, RESPA) and investor requirements.
Additional Responsibilities
  • When managing late-stage delinquent residential mortgage accounts (90+ days past due through foreclosure timelines), initiate and maintain consistent, compliant borrower contact via phone, email, and written correspondence.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (loss mitigation underwriting, foreclosure, bankruptcy) to ensure proper case progression.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent. Specialty: Does not apply at this level of education. (Required)

Experience

3 or more years Collection in consumer or residential loans. (Required)

3 or more years Mortgage servicing and/or default management. (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong understanding of residential mortgage servicing and default management processes. (Required)
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. (Required)
  • Knowledge of ICE / MSP servicing platform. (Preferred)

The hourly rate for this position is $18.56 - $29.38.
