Job description

Trifecta Proven delivers comprehensive, compliant, and mission-focused healthcare staffing and program support tailored to the unique demands of government and military environments. We combine deep industry expertise with a disciplined, results-driven approach to ensure every placement and every program meet the highest standards of quality, readiness, and accountability.

Trifecta Proven is recruiting for a Psychologist to provide services at the Portland Air National Guard Base, OR. Psychologist will work as part of the Human Performance Optimization Program with the 125th Special Tactics Squadron. The Psycholgoist is part of a multi-disciplinary team aiming to prepare service members physically and mentally so they are optimized for mission readiness and sustained peak performance, while minimizing injury and maximizing return-to-duty efficiency.

Hours: Monday thorugh Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. including a one hour lunch break.

Duties: 

  • Clinical & Performance Psychology Services

  • Provide evidencebased psychological assessment, diagnosis, and shortterm treatment to enhance cognitive, emotional, and behavioral readiness of 125th STS personnel.

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, including diagnostic interviews, cognitive testing, personality assessment, and operationalfitness screenings.

  • Deliver performancefocused interventions addressing stress management, decisionmaking, emotional regulation, resilience, and mental stamina.

  • Human Performance Optimization (HPO) Integration

  • Develop and implement psychological components of the Human Performance Program, ensuring alignment with mission requirements and unit operational tempo.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary HPO staff (Strength & Conditioning Coaches, Physical Therapists, Athletic Trainers, Dietitians, etc.) to create holistic, integrated performance plans.

  • Provide embedded behavioral health support within training environments to enhance accessibility and reduce stigma.

  • Conduct workshops, briefings, and smallgroup training on topics such as resilience, stress inoculation, sleep optimization, cognitive performance, suicide prevention, and healthy coping strategies.

  • Educate leadership and unit members on behavioral health trends, risk factors, and performance psychology principles.

  • Support development of SOPs, policies, and best practices related to psychological readiness and mental performance.

  • Operational Support & Observation

  • Observe field training, combatives, obstacle courses, and other operational events to identify psychological stressors and provide realtime performance coaching.

  • Assist in returntoduty planning for personnel recovering from behavioral health or performancerelated challenges.

  • Offer consultation to commanders and training cadre on behavioral health risk mitigation and performance enhancement strategies.

  • Documentation, Compliance & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate, compliant clinical documentation in accordance with DoD, Air National Guard, and Trifecta Proven standards.

  • Ensure all services meet the highest standards of quality, readiness, accountability, and ethical practice.

  • Provide expert consultation on behavioral health trends, readiness concerns, and program effectiveness.

  • Training, Education & Prevention

Minimum Qualifications:

* Education: Doctoral Degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program. Completion of an APA-accredited internship.

* Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience as a practicing clinical psychologist. Expereince working with adults in a high-performance, military, tactical or similar operational environment preferred. Demonstrated expereince conducting psychological assessments, developming treatment plans and delivering evidenced-based interventions. Expereince providing performance psychology, resilience training or embedded behavioral health support preferred. 

* Life Support Certification: Possess a current AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification. Can obtain this before starting the position if candidate doesn't already possess certification.

* Security: Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.

Note: Offered salary will be dependent on experience, credentials and overall interview evaluation.
