Job description

Metal Press B Operator

Location: Arnold, MO
Job Type: Full-Time
Industry: Manufacturing / Metal Stamping

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Metal Press B Operator to join our manufacturing team in Arnold, MO. This position is responsible for operating metal stamping and press equipment to produce quality parts according to production specifications.

The ideal candidate has previous manufacturing or machine operating experience, is mechanically inclined, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. Experience with metal stamping or press operations is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate metal stamping and production press equipment.
  • Load raw materials and properly position parts into machines.
  • Monitor press operations to ensure equipment is running safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect finished parts for defects, dimensions, and overall quality.
  • Use basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and tape measures as required.
  • Read and follow work orders, production instructions, and basic blueprints or specifications.
  • Make basic machine adjustments within established operating procedures.
  • Identify equipment or quality issues and notify the appropriate supervisor or maintenance personnel.
  • Complete required production and quality documentation.
  • Meet established production and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and machine guarding.
  • Assist with material handling and other production duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, machine operation, metal stamping, or press operation preferred.
  • Experience operating mechanical, hydraulic, or similar production presses is a plus.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Ability to use basic measuring and inspection tools.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality are required.
  • Willingness to learn additional equipment and production processes.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and work on your feet for the majority of the shift.
  • Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required.
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive movements.
  • Comfortable working around manufacturing equipment, machinery, noise, and metal materials.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
