A Full Time Medscape employee is someone who works for Medscape, a leading online resource for medical professionals, in a full-time capacity. This typically means they work a standard workweek, usually around 40 hours, and may be eligible for benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plans. Full-time roles at Medscape can include positions in content creation, medical writing, marketing, technology, and more. Employees collaborate to provide up-to-date medical news, education, and resources for healthcare professionals. The WebMD Health Network includes WebMD, Medscape, MedicineNet, eMedicine, RxList, theheart.org and Medscape Education. WebMD is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, ancestry, color, religion, sex, gender, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, medical condition, disability, veterans status, or any other basis protected by law.

About Medscape

At Medscape, a division of WebMD, our mission is to improve patient care by empowering healthcare professionals with trusted clinical knowledge, tools, and learning experiences. We are transforming Medscape into a daily-use, AI-powered clinical companion, helping clinicians stay up to date, make better decisions, and continuously build their expertise. Across web and mobile, we deliver evidence-based content, point-of-care tools, and interactive learning-now enhanced by AI to provide more contextual, personalized, and adaptive experiences, while maintaining the highest standards of clinical rigor and trust.

Role Overview

We are seeking an AI Automation Analyst to join our team and drive the adoption of AI-powered automation across Medscape Education. This centralized role is a hybrid between an analyst and an engineer, focusing on prototyping, tool implementation, and process optimization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in using AI to solve business challenges and a strong ability to understand and translate business needs into technical solutions. This individual will be responsible for assisting with project requirement documents and supporting tasks that existing teams have struggled to staff, such as the development of a conference planning tool.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prototyping and Tooling:

    • Create hands-on prototypes and utility tools using open-source LLMs/GenAI technologies to demonstrate technical feasibility and accelerate the adoption of new AI capabilities.

    • Evaluate, implement, and support no-code/low-code AI and automation platforms to streamline internal workflows.

  • Analysis and Requirements:

    • Assist in the creation of project requirement documents by translating business needs into technical specifications and user stories.

    • Analyze existing business processes to identify opportunities for AI-driven automation and efficiency gains.

  • Implementation and Support:

    • Support the implementation of AI-first process workflows across internal teams (e.g., Content, Operations) to maximize operational efficiency and quality.

    • Act as a key resource for internal teams, providing support and training on new AI tools and automated workflows.

    • Develop and maintain clear documentation for prototypes, tools, and automated processes.

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Experience: Up to 3 years of experience in a technical or analyst role, with a focus on prototyping, process automation, or tool implementation.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Hands-on experience with AI/ML concepts and technologies, including GenAI, LLMs, and RAG architectures.

    • Proficiency in prompt engineering and context engineering.

    • Experience with no-code/low-code automation tools (e.g., n8n, Dify, cursor) and scripting/programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) for building prototypes and utility scripts.

    • Familiarity with project management and development tools (e.g., YouTrack, GitLab).

  • Hybrid Abilities:

    • A strong ability to bridge the gap between business and technical teams, with a knack for understanding business challenges and seeing how AI can solve them.

    • A pragmatic, hands-on, and outcome-driven mindset, with a passion for building and experimenting.

  • Collaboration:

    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

    • A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Salary range: $50,000 - $75,000

Benefits:

Employees in this position are eligible to participate in the company sponsored benefit programs, including the following within the first 12 months of employment:

  • Health Insurance (medical, dental, and vision coverage)

  • Paid Time Off (including vacation, sick leave, and flexible holiday days)

  • 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching

  • Life and Disability Insurance

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

  • Commuter and/or Transit Benefits (if applicable)

Eligibility for specific benefits may vary based on job classification, schedule (e.g., full-time vs. part-time), work location and length of employment.

Employment Type: Full-Time
