Job description

Merlo Construction Co., Inc. is a fast-growing, diversified excavating and concrete company in need of an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic. We have an immediate opening for a full-time mechanic.

Essential Qualifications and Job Responsibilities:

  • Previous heavy equipment or small equipment experience requiredย 
  • Experience with repair and troubleshooting of engine, powertrain and hydraulics
  • Experience with electrical trouble shooting is a plus
  • Ability to work on multiple types of equipment
  • Heavy trucking experience preferred
  • Welding experience preferred
  • Occasionally will lift from 50 โ€“ 100 pounds.
  • Regular and prompt attendance is required

Other Requirements:

  • Valid Driverโ€™s License (CDL Preferred)
  • Able to complete all required paperwork efficiently
  • Background Check
  • Basic hand tools needed for this position
