Overview:
This position is responsible to drive brand growth by developing innovative strategies and go-to-market plans for both new launches and heritage businesses with executional excellence for the mascara segment. In addition, the Brand Manager's primary responsibility includes owning and uncovering deep consumer insights to initiate breakthrough communications and data-driven marketing. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to performing business & competitive analyses, media planning and spend review, marketing budget/financial control, and preparing presentations internal and external meetings. This position is an opportunity for a proactive, self-motivated individual to be both creative and analytical to help accelerate growth for this innovative and loved brand.
Job Responsibilities:
New Product Launches:
  • Ownership and responsibility for supervising entirego tomarketprocessand timelines across multiple launches partnering with cross functional teams (shopper, social, media, PR, etc.)
  • Generate long term strategic development
  • Collaborate with Creative to create launch materials including merchandising and sampling
  • Participate insell-in of projects to management at large
  • Partner with Revenue Growth Management, Finance, and Sales (BBD) on new product pricing strategy

Strategy & Planning:
  • Drivethe research, analysis, categorytrendsand insights to develop long term strategy
  • Oversee and guide plans development and create vision for businesses
  • Contribute to totaleyecategory strategy / plans

  • Responsible for owning strategy for Sales and Trade planning
  • Partner with global team (DMI) to influence new product development based on portfolio competitive gaps and strong consumer insights
  • Partner with Finance to run and analyze franchise and product P&Ls
  • Collaborate with key cross functional partners to own and drive Gross Margin improvement and VA explorations for existing andNewproducts/franchises

Financial P&L and Forecasting:
  • Ownership of entire forecasting process
  • Understand and manage financialimplicationof forecast (i.e.) E10 and Full year number
  • Own accuracy of all budgets and roll up of total category with finance
  • Manage budget allocation between spending buckets and brands with peers

Promotions/Advertising / Media:
  • Work intimately with agency and internal partners to create breakthrough consumer communications in all touchpoints, from traditional media to digital data driven activations
  • Influence media recommendation and direction
  • Provide US consumer centric feedback to global team during creative campaign development
  • Adapt,customizeand design creative assets for US specific needs and media plans
  • Analyze media performance results andoptimizeassets and media plan recommendations for future campaigns
  • Showcaseout of the box thinkingto drivebreakthrough with media campaigns and marketing plans

Team and Meeting Management:
  • Ensure team development and positive morale

Education/Experience:
  • BA degreerequired.
  • 3-6 years of Industry related marketing work experience (consumer package goods or beauty)
  • Prior experience in Operational Marketing
  • Experience successfully launching and managing a new product or renovation through its entire life cycle
  • Experience working collaboratively with R&D and product development teams on new products or renovations
