Located minutes from the University of Connecticut, E.O. The mathematics department consists of 11 teachers and a department director and offers college preparatory, honors, and advanced college-credit-bearing courses. The successful candidate will teach five sections across two to three courses.
Experience with inquiry-based learning, standards-based assessment and instructional technology is preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess or be eligible for a Connecticut Educator Certificate: Mathematics, 7-12 (029).
Possess qualities and personal characteristics necessary to work effectively with all stakeholders.
Demonstrate understanding of or have experience in providing culturally relevant instruction.
TEACHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work cooperatively with teachers to develop and implement meaningful UbD 2.0 curriculum that includes inclusive, engaging, and rigorous instruction and assessments for all students that is based on local, state, and national standards.
Effectively plan and conduct a student-centered classroom.
Communicate regularly and effectively with all stakeholders.
Utilize student data effectively to provide tier one student interventions.
Provide multiple opportunities and means in which students can demonstrate mastery of learning outcomes.
Continuously maintain and review student progress through both graded and ungraded assessments.
Actively participate in both department and school-wide professional development opportunities and school-sponsored events.
SALARY: In accordance with the agreement between the Region 19 Board of Education and the Region 19 Teachers' Association, the 2026-2027 salary range is $53,857 - $109,234.
