Assistant Controller

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to support the financial operations of a growing organization in the Fresno area. In this role, you will work closely with the Controller to oversee accounting functions, ensure compliance, and drive process improvements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the Controller in managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes

Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and variance analyses

Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance on daily operations

Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies

Coordinate with external auditors and assist in the preparation of audit materials

Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions

Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required

CPA license or active CPA candidate strongly preferred
