About the Role
The Assistant Dispensary Manager (ADM) is a key leadership role responsible for supporting the operational success, compliance, integrity, and team performance of the dispensary.
The ADM oversees all Dispensary Associate and Key Holder tasks and goals while helping drive management and leadership team objectives, particularly around productivity, accountability, and positivity.
This role works closely with the Lead Dispensary Manager and reports directly to the Lead Dispensary Manager. This is a full-time leadership position requiring availability to work a flexible and rotating schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs. Set or fixed schedules are not available for this role.
The ideal candidate is energetic, solutions-oriented, compliance-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment where operational priorities shift daily.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operational & Team Leadership
  • Supervise Dispensary Associates and Key Holders during daily operations
  • Drive team productivity, morale, and service standards
  • Assist with scheduling, staffing coordination, and daily workflow management
  • Coach and develop team members to ensure performance alignment
  • Promote a positive, accountable, and patient-focused store culture
  • Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
  • Review, maintain, and communicate updates to Restore Dispensaries SOPs
  • Ensure updated SOPs are accessible for scheduled and unscheduled DOH audits
  • Assist in overseeing medication dispensing procedures in compliance with DOH and state regulations
  • Ensure reportable events are documented and submitted promptly
  • Maintain accurate recordkeeping and audit readiness
  • Inventory & Cash Management
  • Assist in overseeing pre-packaged inventory management and vault-to-floor movement
  • Ensure nightly and monthly audits are conducted in alignment with company standards
  • Monitor inventory reconciliation processes and support the Inventory Specialist
  • Oversee adherence to cash handling procedures, including POS accuracy, reporting, deposits, and reconciliations
  • Cross-Department Collaboration
  • Coordinate with department leaders to ensure smooth store operations
  • Support the Dispensary Manager in executing operational and compliance initiatives
  • Act as a leadership resource during manager absences
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of responsible retail experience, including at least 2 years in management
  • Experience in regulated retail or medical marijuana strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of medical marijuana products and patient consultation
  • Experience in inventory management and reconciliation
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills
  • Excellent conflict resolution and decision-making abilities
  • Basic math and strong computer proficiency
  • Cash handling experience with high accuracy
  • Ability to lift, bend, twist, stand, and walk as required
  • Flexibility to work opening, closing, weekends, and holidays
