Job Description
As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Decatur, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, communicate clearly, and provide exceptional customer service while reflecting Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, offices, parking areas, entry points, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and completing required reports.
  • Observe and report unusual conditions, damaged property, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
