Advanced Robotics Coatings of Allison Park, PA is hiring a Robotics Software Engineer. We are a construction robotics company focused on coatings and surface prep at height (up to 40 feet) for interior commercial facilities. Our system is designed for speed, precision and reliability. We have strong customer pull, product market fit and a functioning prototype. Our priority is to extend the capabilities of the existing system to prepare for future markets and scaling. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Intimately understand value to customers and value to our business model and know which metrics track and/or impact these values.
  • Regularly verify the team is maximizing value with as little tech and complication as possible.
  • Participate in regular brainstorming meetings where ideas, solutions and potentially dreamy solutions are explored.
  • Strive to achieve high velocity development which means a strict focus on testing harnesses and necessary data collection to quickly determine pass/fail.
  • Help improve software development workflow, build and deployment process to benefit from AI agent based infrastructure.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Onsite only.
  • C++ and Python programming experience with standard dev skills such as GIT etc..
  • Experience with robotic sensors (of all types).
  • Experience with mobility systems, code, ideas, and concepts.
  • Desire to embrace AI native development and concepts.
  • Desire to move quickly, but diligently.

BENEFICIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Manipulator experience is a bonus, but not required.
  • A strong manipulation background will override some of the above requirements.
  • Docker and/or container build/deployment experience.
  • Willingness / ability to operate in a 'radically candid' environment where we work toward a meritocracy.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related technical field required. Equivalent experience will be considered.
