Description
Sanders Beach Rentals is a luxury property management company with over 20 years in business on beautiful 30-A (Santa Rosa Beach, FL). We're looking for a skilled full time Maintenance Technician who takes pride in their work and enjoys solving problems in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Technician is to ensure each home on our program is well kept, inspected, and maintenance is performed as needed. This position requires skill in making a wide range of minor to moderate house repairs to vacation rental properties in one or more fields (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, etc..). Communication with all departments is key when addressing maintenance issues. Professional communication is expected with co-workers, owners, vendors and guests alike. All duties and responsibilities of this position are to be performed with exceptional caring and excellent guest service while upholding the gold star standard set by Sanders Beach Rentals. The Maintenance Technician reports to the Executive Director of Maintenance and works closely with other departments to ensure all maintenance needs are met.
What You Will Do:
  • Assess and repair interior and exterior issues including electrical, plumbing and drywall
  • Complete work orders accurately and in a timely manner
  • Interact with property owners, guests and vendors in a professional and courteous manner
  • Respond promptly to guest maintenance request
  • Plumb to include repair, replacement or installation of faucets, drains, supply lines, toilets, garbage disposals and clogged sinks and pipes
  • Troubleshoot problems and replace filters in A/C and HVAC systems
  • Repair drywall to include filling small holes and cracks and sanding
  • Perform minor repairs on appliances. Replace and install major household appliances
  • Paint to include minor touch ups following damage or as needed
  • Effectively manage daily correspondence and operational tasks
  • Provide updates on maintenance tasks, timelines and requests for additional help
  • Cover on-call duty shifts as assigned
Keys to Success:
  • Positive attitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • 2 year's experience in maintenance departments (short term rentals preferred)
  • Knowledge of common work order repair issues

Requirements:
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid Driver's License
  • Ability to work flexible hours and required weekend work
  • Must be able to climb stairs both inside and outside and frequently lift up to 40-50 lbs.
