Job Summary:


Under the direct supervision of the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the equipment, machinery, and physical plant of the 84 Components manufacturing facility in safe and efficient working condition. This position performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to support production and minimize equipment downtime.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Perform regularly scheduled preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and adjust mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Inspect and repair hydraulic components, air lines, cylinders, valves, pumps, hoses, and related equipment.
• Maintain machinery within established operational and quality standards and tolerances.
• Identify equipment wear, damage, or potential failures and complete necessary repairs.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production-related maintenance needs.
• Audit daily operator equipment and safety checks.
• Train operators on proper machine operation, routine maintenance, and safe operating procedures.
• Maintain the physical plant, machinery, and work areas in good working order.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe machine and maintenance environment.
• Communicate equipment concerns, repair needs, and recurring issues to the Plant Manager.
• Support production by minimizing equipment downtime and maintaining reliable equipment operation.
Qualifications
• Strong mechanical aptitude and industrial troubleshooting skills.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing machinery and equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and industrial maintenance practices.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Ability to identify mechanical and safety issues and perform appropriate repairs.
• Manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience preferred
