Job description

We are looking for a versatile Graphic Designer / Visualization Specialist to support our multi-disciplinary engineering and planning firm. This role bridges traditional graphic design, architectural visualization, and technical illustration, producing compelling visual content that communicates complex engineering, planning, and design concepts clearly and creatively.

The ideal candidate is fluent in the Adobe Creative Suite, experienced in 3D modeling and rendering, and comfortable collaborating with engineers, planners, landscape architects, and technical specialists to translate ideas and concepts into clear, compelling graphics. Experience with SketchUp and Lumion is essential; familiarity with AutoCAD and GIS is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Visualization

  • Develop high-quality graphics, infographics, and visual narratives for proposals, reports, public outreach, and marketing materials
  • Create project visualizations, including isometric graphics, conceptual site and infrastructure diagrams, master plans and illustrative layouts, rendered perspectives and diagrams using Photoshop, SketchUp, and Lumion
  • Translate technical engineering and planning information into clear, engaging visual content for diverse audiences
  • Prepare templates and reports using InDesign

Brand & Marketing Graphics

  • Support marketing and business development efforts with proposal graphics, presentation materials, and digital and print assets
  • Maintain consistency in visual identity across disciplines and projects

Collaboration & Production

  • Work closely with engineers, planners, landscape architects, and project managers to understand technical scope and design intent
  • Incorporate feedback from multiple stakeholders while maintaining design quality and clarity
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines


We Are Looking for Someone Who:

  • Can balance design aesthetics with technical accuracy
  • Is a collaborative team player who is practiced in working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
  • Has an interest in infrastructure, planning, environmental, or community-focused projects
  • Is comfortable and adept at collaborating with a wide range of personalities and roles across disciplines to understand ideas and translate them into clear, compelling graphics.

Required:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in graphic design, architectural visualization, architecture, landscape architecture or related degree, or equivalent professional experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Proven experience with software such as SketchUp, Lumion, or Revit for modeling and rendering
  • Demonstrated ability to produce architectural, planning, or engineering-focused graphics
  • Strong visual storytelling, layout, infographic and typography skills
  • Knowledge of architectural style rendering/graphics with an understanding of physical site layouts and construction.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and concepts
  • Strong capability to build relationships.

Nice-to-Have/Preferred:

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD
  • Basic understanding of GIS concepts and spatial data visualization
  • Experience working in or with engineering, planning, architecture, or landscape architecture firms
  • Knowledge of large-format printing, exhibit graphics, or public-facing materials
