The Club at ArrowCreek, located in Reno, NV, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Line Cook! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

General Purpose:

Prepares various food products for restaurant and banquet operations, guest consumption and enjoyment.

Pay Range: $19.00- $26.00 per hour

Full-time year round and full-time seasonal positions available.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Ability to maintain a clean, neat and organized work environment.
  • Ability to follow recipes, to increase or decrease recipe as needed.
  • Demonstrates good knife skills.
  • Ability to season food properly.
  • Ability to properly follow all process that are in place.
  • Understands how to read contracts and order tickets.
  • Ability to communicate with all internal customers efficiently. (Stewarding, banquets, front of the house…)
  • Ability to fill out all requisitions properly.
  • Ability to follow all rules and regulations in employee handbook properly.
  • Properly rotate product in walk in cooler.
  • Clean and maintain equipment properly.
  • Maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation / health regulations and hotel requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills:

  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to details, speed, and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize, organizes, work and follow through with assigned tasks.
  • Ability to be a clear thinker, remain calm and resolve problems using good judgment.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years or more of experience in the culinary field.

Desirable:

  • Food handling certificate.
  • Sanitation certificate.
  • Ability to communicate in multiple languages.
  • Culinary college degree.

 

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, and crouch; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
