Job description

This position typically starts at $15 per hour + tips and works a variable schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Team members begin accruing PTO starting on day one, and fulltime employees are eligible for benefits after 90 days.

This role puts you right at the heart of the hotel experience, where you get to welcome guests with energy and make their stay unforgettable. You'll be the goto expert for local tips, smooth arrivals, effortless luggage help, and arranging everything from taxis to dinner reservations. Every day brings new interactions as you keep the lobby buzzing, the front drive looking sharp, and even help refresh the gift shop with new merchandise. If you love staying active, meeting people from all over, and being the person who makes someone's day easier, this job is a blast.

  • Must be at least 18 yrs. of age.

  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business. 

  • Must pass background check.
  • Must have excellent customer service/communication skills. 
  • Experience in hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Communicates effectively and maintains positive working relationships with guests, coworkers, and management.

  • Report to work in a neat and clean uniform. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.

  • Ability to work in a loud, fastpaced environment while handling multiple tasks under time constraints.

  • Must be able to bend, twist, turn, push and pull, as well as lift and carry above/below the shoulders a minimum of 25 lbs or more. 
  • Must be able to work independently along with a team mentality. 
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time or entire shift. 
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations. 
  • Can tolerate areas containing second-hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust. 
  • Must be able to maneuver around office areas, effectively work in high traffic areas and respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must have the dexterity to grip and work necessary items (chips, 10 key adding machine, money bags, computers, money, etc.). 
  • Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance; arrives on time in a clean uniform with required name tag, ID, and licenses, ready to work with a positive, readytolearn attitude.

  • Greets guests and team members warmly and professionally, supporting our Family Style Service culture.

  • Works a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

  • Responsible for meeting and greeting guest at the hotel entrance in a prompt fashion so they feel welcomed. 

  • Communicate any information to the guest about the facilities or the local area and assisting the guest throughout their stay at the hotel. 

  • Assist the guest from their transportation to the front desk and then to their hotel room. 

  • Upon request, the guest with their luggage when leaving their room and checking out. 

  • Bellman must be able to make arrangements for the guest example taxi, limo, dinner and special event reservations. This includes follow-up with the guests.

  • Assists with maintaining the cleanliness of the front drive and hotel lobby.

  • Assists with stocking the gift shop and unpacking merchandise as needed.
