Job Summary: 
We are looking for skilled Lighting Installers to join our team and help us light up Charlotte area homes and businesses with permanent holiday lights! In this role, you will perform residential (and occasional commercial) work that includes cutting/shaping aluminum channel that holds the lights, attaching the channel under the soffits, and working with low voltage lighting. Must be comfortable working on ladders and in different climate conditions: cold or hot (no work on ladders in the rain for safety). 

We are seeking hard-working, team players, who are dedicated to performing quality work in all they do. Past experience as a professional handyman, maintenance worker or roofer is highly preferred and a positive attitude is a must! 

Responsibilities: 
  • Use Jobber to see where jobs are scheduled and review installation plans approved by customer
  • Drive self to and from jobsites
  • Initiate and complete lighting installation jobs at all kinds of residential homes
  • Act as professional when on jobsite and in front of customers
  • Cut, bend, shape and attach aluminum channel under soffits and sometimes to side of facia
  • Splice amp wire into lights every 50-100 ft depending on install requirements
  • Snap lights into place and tuck wires so no wire is visible
  • Clean up jobsite, remove all remnants and trash so jobsite looks better than before we started 
  • Occasional landscape lighting may also be required: trenching, splicing, and connecting low voltage fixtures.  
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a handyman / general maintenance or roofing and painting homes
  • Knowledge of job site safety rules and regulations (OSHA)
  • Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in carpentry
  • Skilled craftsman who works well with hands
  • Must be comfortable performing on ladders and sometimes at heights above thirty (30) feet with the use of a 40' ladder, lift, or bucket truck boom 
  • Ability to lift 40+ lbs on a consistent basis
