Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. (QPWB), a multi-office national law firm, is seeking a full-time Legal Assistantto join our Atlanta, Georgia office, supporting our Trucking Litigation Group. This position offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to be part of a collaborative, fast-paced litigation team.
Job Summary
The Legal Assistant in this role will provide essential administrative and litigation support to attorneys handling complex trucking, cargo loss, auto accident, and premises liability cases. This is a hands-on position that requires excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working closely with attorneys, clients, and firm staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, format, and revise legal documents including pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, motions, and correspondence
  • Maintain and organize case files, both physical and electronic, ensuring documents are accurate and accessible
  • Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, client meetings, and other case-related events
  • Monitor attorney calendars, track deadlines, and ensure timely compliance with court requirements
  • Assist in the preparation and tracking of subpoenas, medical records, and expert documentation
  • Communicate professionally with clients, experts, court personnel, and opposing counsel
  • Perform legal research support and gather case-related information under attorney supervision
  • Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders
  • Handle time entry, billing tasks, and general administrative duties to support attorney efficiency

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience as a legal assistant in civil litigation, preferably with trucking, transportation, or insurance defense matters
  • Familiarity with Georgia court rules, procedures, and e-filing systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional legal training or certification is a plus

Physical Demands
This position is primarily sedentary and involves extensive use of computers and office equipment. Some standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds may be required.

Based in a professional office environment in Atlanta, this role requires in-office work with occasional interruptions and varying priorities.
