Job description

About the Role

The Print Operator is a critical role responsible for printing and processing invoices and statements on high-speed laser printers and automated insertion equipment, and helping prepare mail for entry into the USPS. This is a hands-on, production-floor role that requires mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and a proven commitment to punctuality and quality.

You will work as part of a team dedicated to delivering accurate, on-time output for Billtrust customers-operating sophisticated printing and inserting equipment, following established SOPs, and contributing to a facility that runs with precision and pride.

What You'll Do

Production Operations

Operate high-speed laser printers and automated insertion equipment to print and process customer invoices and statements accurately and on schedule.

Prepare completed mail jobs for entry into the USPS, following established postal procedures and quality standards.

Follow all standard operating procedures for job setup, operation, and completion to ensure consistent, high-quality output.

Monitor equipment performance during production runs and flag any issues to the supervisor or service technician promptly.

Other duties as assigned.

Quality & Safety

Perform basic quality checks during production to verify correct materials, accurate job setup, and acceptable print quality.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation, adhering to all facility safety standards at all times.

Operate the company vehicle when required to support facility or mail delivery needs, in accordance with company policy.

Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately to the supervisor.

Team Contribution

Work collaboratively with fellow Print Operators and supervisors to meet daily production goals and customer SLAs.

Support the team during peak production periods by working flexible hours and overtime as needed.

Contribute to a positive, high-performance facility culture by demonstrating reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

What You'll Bring

Required Skills:

Proven history of punctuality and a strong work ethic.

Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime during peak production periods.

Basic PC skills sufficient to process jobs in a timely and accurate manner.

Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and respond to basic equipment issues.

Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and stand for extended periods during production shifts.

Valid Driver's License and willingness to drive the company vehicle on occasion.

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of mailing and USPS procedures.

Familiarity with Pitney Bowes or Bell & Howell inserting equipment.

Experience operating laser printers in a production environment.

High School Diploma or GED-equivalent.

The expected base salary range for this position is $22.12 - $29.81/hour.
Compensation may vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for additional incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses. Further details will be provided by our Talent Acquisition team during the interview process.
