Are you an experienced laboratory leader looking to make a meaningful impact? We are seeking a Director of Laboratory Services to lead a hospital laboratory department focused on delivering high-quality patient care, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance.

Position Summary

The Director of Laboratory Services is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and daily operations of the hospital laboratory. This individual will collaborate closely with physicians, hospital leadership, and department managers to ensure exceptional quality, efficiency, and patient care while maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
  • Direct, develop, and oversee all laboratory operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians, hospital leadership, and clinical departments to ensure high-quality laboratory services.
  • Develop, review, and update laboratory policies, procedures, and manuals to maintain compliance and best practices.
  • Lead, mentor, and support laboratory management and staff.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and accreditation standards are consistently met.
  • Manage departmental goals, budgets, staffing, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize sound judgment and extensive laboratory leadership experience to plan and accomplish departmental objectives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of recent hospital laboratory experience.
  • Previous laboratory leadership or management experience strongly preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of laboratory operations, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
