Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Labor & Delivery / OB unit in Ottumwa, Iowa.
POSITION OVERVIEW
• Labor & Delivery / OB unit
• 10-bed unit
• 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Provides care to obstetric patients
• Pediatric coverage by Board Certified provider
COMPENSATION
• Salary Range: $63,000 – $86,000
SCHEDULE
• Full-time
• 12-hour shifts
• Rotates every third weekend and major holidays
ROLE
• Perform patient assessments and identify care needs
• Initiate appropriate nursing interventions
• Provide care appropriate to patient condition and age
• Complete documentation related to medical necessity in the medical record
• Maintain and revise interdisciplinary care plans
• Perform quality improvement assessments

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program REQUIRED
• Current Iowa RN license or compact license REQUIRED
• Basic Life Support (BLS) REQUIRED
• Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire REQUIRED
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire REQUIRED
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire REQUIRED
• Recent RN experience REQUIRED
• 2–3 years Labor & Delivery experience preferred
• 1 year Med/Surg or Critical Care experience preferred
