Job description

Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company focused on delivering novel therapeutics for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), a serious liver disease that can progress to cirrhosis, liver failure, need for liver transplantation and premature mortality. Every member of our Madrigal team is connected by our shared purpose: leading the fight against MASH.
Madrigal's medication, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), is a once-daily, oral, liver-directed THR-ฮฒ agonist designed to target key underlying causes of MASH. Rezdiffra is the first and only medication approved by both the FDA and European Commission for the treatment of MASH with moderate to advanced fibrosis (F2 to F3). An ongoing Phase 3 outcomes trial is evaluating Rezdiffra for the treatment of compensated MASH cirrhosis (F4c).
Our success is driven by our people. We are building a dynamic, inclusive, and high-performing culture that values scientific excellence, operational rigor, and collaboration. To support our continued growth, we are strengthening our workforce strategy to ensure we have the right talent, at the right time, in the right way.
The Associate Director, HCP Marketing (KOL Engagement) will play a highly visible role in advancing the launch of Rezdiffra through strategic healthcare professional (HCP) engagement initiatives. In concert with Marketing leadership, this individual will lead the development and execution of impactful peer-to-peer education and thought leader engagement programs designed to elevate scientific exchange, strengthen advocacy, and accelerate HCP adoption.
This is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative and commercially minded marketing leader to shape strategy, influence cross-functional decision-making, and drive innovative engagement initiatives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • In concert with Marketing leadership, drive the strategy and execution of HCP engagement and peer-to-peer education initiatives aligned with brand priorities and commercial objectives
  • In collaboration with cross-functional partners, lead speaker bureau strategy and operations, including speaker engagement, training, program execution, content collaboration, compliance, and performance analytics
  • Support regional and local congress engagement initiatives, including product theaters, KOL engagement opportunities, and field-facing educational programs
  • Develop and execute advisory board strategies to generate actionable customer insights and inform brand strategy
  • Partner closely with the Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) team to translate field insights into meaningful commercial opportunities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HCP Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, PRC/MLR, Analytics, and Market Research teams to ensure aligned and compliant execution
  • Manage agency partners, budgets, timelines, and operational execution with a focus on excellence, agility, and impact
  • Leverage analytics and customer insights to continuously optimize engagement strategies and program performance

Required & Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 8-10 years of biopharmaceutical commercial and/or marketing experience
  • Proven experience leading speaker bureau programs, peer-to-peer education initiatives, advisory boards, and KOL engagement strategies
  • Experience supporting specialty product launches within dynamic commercial environments; Subpart H launch experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical promotional regulations and experience operating successfully within regulated environments
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, project leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to translate clinical data and customer insights into compelling educational initiatives
  • Experience in liver disease, hepatology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, or related specialty markets preferred
