Job Description

We are looking for a field service technician with a good grasp of mechanical/electrical systems.

The opportunity involves working for a company that specializes in manufacturing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing specialized machinery used in the food and packaging industry.

In this role, you will work on customer sites around Greater Toronto and be involved in the diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment which is 70% mechanical and 30% electrical. You will succeed if you are technically sound and offer outstanding customer service skills. You will be excellent at prioritizing and planning tasks, managing time, and effectively servicing machines on customer site.

There is outstanding training available and the opportunity to travel to Europe for learning and development. You will also enjoy great job perks and benefits, and will be offered a competitive wage with a vehicle and gas card. The work is not overly physical, small crawling and maneuvering required but no heavy lifting or working in heavy industrial environments. Generally candidates are encouraged to work overtime although its not forced. Most technicians are earning 6 figures. The organization is professionally managed and offers a great home for candidates passionate about a career in electromechanical equipment service.

Required Qualifications

-Valid passport

-Clean driver's abstract

-Able to pass a background check

-Permanent resident in Canada or Canadian citizen

-Living in Montreal or surrounding area

-Able to work Monday-Friday full time

-Field service engineer or field service technician experience preferred

-Able to perform mechanical and electrical machinery repairs

-Interested in working full-time and hopefully some overtime

-Friendly and co-operative personality who can get along well with customers and co-workers

-Fluent in French and English
