VITA Italian Restaurant is seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant/Banquet Manager oversees daily operations within a dynamic hospitality environment, managing a medium to large team to ensure seamless event execution. This role focuses on on-site supervision of banquet events and restaurant activities, emphasizing excellent customer service, quality control, and operational compliance without requiring travel.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of 10-30+ staff members to deliver exceptional service
  • Manage customer service standards and promptly resolve issues
  • Oversee inventory management and coordinate with vendors
  • Maintain quality control across all banquet and restaurant operations
  • Create and manage staff schedules to meet event and service demands
  • Conduct training and development programs for team members
  • Ensure compliance with hospitality regulations and internal policies
  • Payroll and employee time/edit sheets

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in hospitality management
  • 2 years of experience in Italian restaurant and catering management
  • 2 years of Hotel Banquet Management experience
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field
  • Certifications such as ServSafe and Event Management
  • Strong skills in customer service, staff training, and conflict resolution
