Founded in 2003, HHS Construction is a leading provider of infrastructure services to major telecommunications and cable providers primarily in Southern California, and adjacent geographies. HHS Construction's core capabilities include aerial, underground and substructure self-perform construction; ISP services; wireless services including Small Cell/CRAN installation, utility coordination, turn-key RF testing and maintenance; telecom engineering; placement and splicing of copper, coaxial and fiber optic cables; and pole maintenance. HHS Construction is headquartered in Ontario, California.
Job Summary:
We are looking to hire a reliable and organized ISP Level 3, Foreman, to install, maintain, and repair category 5e/6/6A copper cabling. An ISP Level 3, Foreman, must be able to install single-mode and multimode fiber optic cabling for business clients. This includes mechanical terminations with Uni-cam, Fast-cam, or likewise type connectors. ISP Level 3 Foreman is responsible for crew management, installing data and voice cable systems, raceway, conduit, racks, cabinets, cable suspension hardware, and other cable-related equipment. Duties may include drilling/coring of walls and floors, cable placement and termination, setting ground cables, installing equipment, and troubleshooting any problems with the cable system. Other duties will require mid-level knowledge of EMT conduit installation and bending. To ensure success as an ISP Level 3 Foreman, you should have a mid-high-level knowledge of low voltage systems and cable technology. You should be able to work in cramped spaces, and at heights, and interact with clients in a friendly and professional manner. Ultimately the ISP Level 3 Foreman will provide efficient, high-quality services.
Job Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):
  • Responsible for crew coordination with the Project Manager.
  • Works with onsite customer contact at the job site.
  • Capable of reading job docs and understanding projects.
  • Executing work in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Can hold onsite meetings with their crew.
  • Manage their crew and task delegation.
  • Handles daily reports and timesheets for crew members.
  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing cable infrastructure.
  • Performing maintenance on existing cabling systems.
  • Testing newly installed or relocated cables.
  • Identifying and removing redundant cabling.
  • Troubleshooting issues with the cable network.
  • Installing cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct.
  • Ensuring all cables are neatly tied and bundled according to safety regulations.
  • Foreman should have mid to high-level knowledge of installing and bending EMT conduit.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous work experience as a Foreman.
  • Ability to install voice and data cabling
  • Ability to install Fiber Optic cabling and terminate mechanical connections.
  • Ability to understand and operate a Fluke or likewise testing equipment for troubleshooting and certifying purposes.
  • Ability to work in cramped spaces.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work at heights.
  • Familiarity with Copper and Fiber Optic color codes.
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.
  • Provide personal minor hand tools (such as screwdrivers, wire cutters, punch-down tools, etc.)
  • Clean driving and criminal record and ability to pass DOJ background checks for access into government and school facilities.
