Familiarity with electronic IRB management systems, compliance databases, and certifications like CIP (Certified IRB Professional) are commonly required. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective communication are essential soft skills for reviewing protocols and collaborating with researchers. These competencies are critical for ensuring the protection of human research subjects and maintaining institutional and federal compliance.
