JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective
Handle the receipt, documentation, and tracking of goods.  Communicate with Inventory Manager regarding issues or status of merchandise. Be flexible to support changing priorities and needs. 

Essential Functions

  1. Provide support for Inventory Supervisor 
  2. Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
  3. Compare merchandise invoices to items actually received to ensure that shipments are correct.
  4. Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
  5. Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
  6. Deliver or route materials to departments.
  7. Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping.
  8. Confer or correspond with appropriate person(s) to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
  9. Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies.
  10. Compute amounts, such as space available, shipping, or storage.
  11. Ensure proper stock levels in stores
  12. Understand warranty/returns policy per vendor
  13. Date and rotate product
  14. Clean and maintain the inventory closet
  15. Conduct physical inventory of the inventory closet
  16. Move inventory around in the market
  17. Help with RA process
