This position is part of the Government Publication Sales, Government Publishing Office in Washington, District of Columbia.Qualifications:To qualify for the Supply Technician (Inventory), PG -2005-6, you must meet the following requirements:
To qualify for the Supply Technician (Inventory), PG-2005-06, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the PG-05 level in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private sector that includes: 1) Utilizing warehouse and inventory management systems to oversee stock control and reporting operations effectively; and 2) Maintaining purchasing and inventory records, including preparing reports, analyzing data, and utilizing systems such as Excel spreadsheets; and 3) Identifying and resolving discrepancies using radio frequency identification (RFID) and similar barcode software to ensure data accuracy and operational efficiency.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement (07/24/2026) to be considered.Education:Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level.
