Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 4x10 day shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (Day shift), 4 days per week (specific days vary); call rotation required evenings and weekends per call team schedule: Monday-Friday 5:30 PM - 7:00 AM and Saturday-Sunday 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality peri-procedural nursing care for interventional radiology patients during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
  • Prepare and assist with vascular procedures including angioplasty, carotid stenting, and upper/lower extremity angiography
  • Monitor and manage vascular sheaths and perform sheath removal and post-procedure monitoring
  • Apply and support use of vascular closure systems such as Perclose and StarClose
  • Recognize and interpret dysrhythmias and intervene appropriately in collaboration with the team
  • Maintain radiation and laser safety standards in the interventional suite
  • Document all patient care timely and accurately in EPIC
  • Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled and communicate effectively with the call team
Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in Interventional Radiology
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • Familiarity with EPIC electronic charting required
  • Comfort participating in an on-call rotation and responding to variable call volume
Education
  • Active RN licensure (education level per state requirements; diploma/ADN/BSN acceptable as applicable)
Knowledge & Skills
  • Proven skills in Interventional Radiology procedures and vascular studies
  • Experience with angioplasty, carotid stenting, and upper/lower extremity angiography
  • Competence in sheath removal, monitoring, and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
  • Understanding of radiation and laser safety practices
  • Ability to interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
  • Familiarity with Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale and pressure ulcer assessment/prevention
  • Strong EPIC documentation skills and interdisciplinary communication
