A Taste of What You'll Do
As a Host at the Distillery Visitor Center, you will create memorable experiences that bring our brand to life for guests from around the world. Through engaging tours, tastings, and immersive experiences, you will serve as a passionate brand ambassador, sharing product knowledge and delivering exceptional hospitality that builds lasting connections with our guests.
In this role, you will guide visitors through educational and interactive experiences, support beverage service in Bar 1888, and help ensure every guest receives a welcoming, informative, and enjoyable visit. From managing reservations and ticket sales to assisting with special events and visitor center operations, you will play a key role in creating a premium hospitality environment.
You will also support retail operations, inventory management, and merchandising efforts while maintaining visual standards and contributing to overall visitor center success. Working collaboratively across departments, you will help execute events, support marketing initiatives, and ensure responsible practices, safety, and quality standards are upheld at all times. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys public speaking, guest engagement, teamwork, and delivering outstanding customer experiences.
What You'll Need
  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus six months of retail sales, hospitality, food or customer service experience.
  • Required to be 21 years of age or older.
  • Required to work weekends and a flexible schedule as needed.
  • Required to lift and move product weighing at least 50 pounds.
  • Strong knowledge of Computer and software proficiency.
  • Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills, especially attention to detail.
  • Skilled in communication, presentation, sales and customer service.
  • Experience executing tasks that required attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Adhere to brand standards in product discussion with guests and to tour and tasting procedures per policy or as directed by a Supervisor or Lead Host.
  • Complete STAR training and follow responsibility practices without exception.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

How You'll Stand Out
  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 1 year of retail sales, hospitality, food or hospitality experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Candidate is required to have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver's license based on the position's location within 30 days of hire.
