Mechanical Engineer | Aerospace Manufacturing | Rayong, Thailand
An aerospace manufacturing company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its onsite team in Rayong, Thailand. This is a full time international assignment based at our manufacturing facility in Thailand. Recruiting, interviews, and onboarding are conducted in the United States.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who is eager to gain hands on aerospace manufacturing experience, support complex mechanical and structural design work, and contribute directly to production, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
U.S. citizenship is required due to project requirements. Qualified candidates must be willing and able to relocate internationally to Rayong, Thailand.
About the Role
The Mechanical Engineer will support the design, documentation, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of mechanical and structural systems used in aerospace manufacturing. This role requires strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality, production, and engineering teams in a fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design mechanical and structural systems based on customer, program, production, and manufacturing requirements.
- Develop engineering solutions that support cost, schedule, quality, manufacturability, and performance objectives.
- Create, review, revise, and maintain engineering drawings, 3D models, technical documentation, and design records.
- Document engineering notes, design changes, test results, and technical observations in accordance with company and project requirements.
- Support troubleshooting, testing, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities on the production floor.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, production, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and improve processes.
- Participate in design reviews, process improvement initiatives, and technical problem solving efforts.
- Maintain accurate and organized engineering documentation to support compliance, traceability, and project execution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities, and meet deadlines consistently.
- Self motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexible, team oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute across multiple areas.
- Willing and able to relocate internationally to Rayong, Thailand.
- U.S. citizenship required due to project requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- AutoCAD experience.
- Knowledge of GD&T.
- Experience with Epicor or another MRP system.
- Aerospace, manufacturing, structural design, or production support experience.
Position Details
- Job Type: Full time
- Work Location: Onsite in Rayong, Thailand
- Compensation: USD $70,000 to $80,000 USD per year, based on experience
- Bonus: Additional bonus opportunities available
- Housing: Company housing offered
- Schedule: Full time onsite role. Extended hours may be required based on production needs.
