What You'll Do
As a Patent Attorney, you will:
  •  Draft and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications 
  •  Develop patent portfolio strategies for innovative clients 
  •  Conduct patentability, freedom-to-operate, and validity analyses 
  •  Counsel clients on intellectual property strategy 
  •  Work directly with inventors, engineers, executives, and in-house counsel 
  •  Collaborate with experienced attorneys across multiple technical disciplines 
  •  Gain exposure to domestic and international intellectual property matters

Qualifications
We are seeking candidates who possess:
  •  J.D. from an accredited law school 
  •  Registration to practice before the USPTO 
  •  Admission to the New Jersey Bar (or ability to obtain admission) 
  •  Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related engineering discipline 
  •  Minimum of 2 years of patent prosecution experience in a law firm or comparable IP practice 
  •  Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills 
  •  Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client matters 
Preferred Qualifications
  •  Prior engineering or industry experience 
  •  Patent litigation experience 
  •  Experience managing client portfolios
